Flourless Fudgy Brownies (gluten-free, dairy-free)

These brownies are guaranteed to satisfy any chocolate craving. They are naturally gluten-free + dairy-free, but you would never know it. Oh, and my dad approves (one of his favorite things is FUDGY brownies, to be specific). These flourless fudgy brownies are super quick + easy to make— you’ll never want to go back to the box because I swear, these take like five extra minutes but are 100x better. ENJOY!

Healthyish brownies

I’m not going to go so far as to say these are “healthy” brownies. But…

  • There’s only a cup of sugar (you could easily sub a cup of coconut sugar if you wanted)
  • The sneaky star ingredient is almond butter, which is high in protein + nutrients (and adds amazing flavor + texture!)
  • There isn’t any highly processed vegetable oil in the recipe, just a quarter cup of coconut oil.
  • These are lower-carb brownies since they are flourless, and they’ll make your gluten-free friends happy.


Much better for you than the boxed stuff. And you can impress people when you bring *homemade* brownies to your next social gathering.

The ideal chocolate-lover’s treat

These brownies are rich, decadent, and oh-so chocolatey. You really don’t even taste the almond butter— it just makes the texture fudgy. I brought these to my dad’s birthday celebration, and no one had any idea there was almond butter in them.

We topped ’em with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream, a drizzle of hot fudge, and a dollop of whipped cream. They were a hit. But honestly, they are equally good on their own.

These flourless fudgy brownies have a deep chocolate flavor without being overly sweet. They’re the kind of brownies that melt in your mouth, and you truly can’t just eat one. (And why not eat two anyway?)

Flourless Fudgy Brownies (dairy-free, gluten-free)

Servings: 9-12 brownies
Total Time: 30 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2/3 cup natural almond butter (the only ingredient on the label should be almonds— this is the kind I like)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (dairy-free if you prefer)
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda


DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together almond butter, sugars, vanilla extract, and coconut oil until just combined. Next, whisk in the eggs until smooth.
  3. Stir in cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda. Once combined, fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Spread into an even layer in parchment-lined pan. Bake for 18-22 minutes or until mostly set.
  5. Cool for 20-30 minutes in the pan, then remove by lifting up edges of parchment paper.
